How do I purchase tickets?
Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day is the only day of Addington Cup Week where you must purchase tickets to attend.
To attend the Show Day Races, a gold coin donation to the NZ Horse Ambulance Trust is encouraged. The Christian Cullen Lounge, Chunky’s Smoker and Outdoor Bar, and all Lawn areas (excluding the centre of the track) will be available for the public to access, however other areas including Spectators and all hospitality packages, require tickets to be purchased in advance (below).

How much are Public Village tickets?
Public Village ticket entry only is $30, or upgrade to Public Village More FM Grandstand Card for $90. Card fee applies at checkout.
Where does my Public Village ticket get me?
Your Public Village ticket gives you access to all public areas, including the Public Village, the Public Lawn along the home straight, and viewing of the Cup Day Fashion Competition. It DOES NOT give you access to Public Village More FM Grandstand, The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield, Hospitality Areas, or the Metropolitan Stand.
How much are The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield tickets?
Tickets to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield start at $80. Card fee applies at checkout.
Where does The Kirin Hyoketsu ticket get me?
A ticket to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield gives you access to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield area which is located in the centre of the track, and The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield race viewing area which is also within the centre track by the home straight. It also includes all public areas, including the Public Village, the Public Lawn along the home straight, and viewing of the Cup Day Fashion Competition. It DOES NOT give you access to Hospitality Areas, or the Metropolitan Stand. To access The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield, you will enter through the main gates outside Wolfbrook Arena where your ticket will be scanned and you will receive a wristband. Simply walk through the Public Village, across the track crossing, and into the centre of the track to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield.
Is there an age restriction to attending Go Media NZ Trotting Cup Day?
If you are under the age of 18 you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Please note The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield is an R18 venue. Guests will be aged verified and no-one aged under 18 years will be admitted, even in the company of a parent or legal guardian.
What is the definition of a Legal Guardian?
(Required for entry for persons aged under 18 years)
A legal guardian is a person who has the legal authority (and the corresponding duty) to care for the personal and property interests of another person, called a ward.
Why does my ticket have a QR code?
All 2026 tickets are security QR coded and will be scanned on entry.
Can I purchase a ticket on the day?
Yes, online tickets will be available until gates open at 11am (unless sold out prior).
How can I purchase a Hospitality Package?
You can easily purchase Hospitality tickets through our official ticketing partner Flicket. If you have a large group to book hospitality for, or would like to discuss your options, you can contact Vanessa Leeming (vanessa.leeming@addington.co.nz).
What if I cannot attend Go Media NZ Trotting Cup Day anymore after purchasing a ticket?
Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable, unless you have purchased Ticket Protection at the time of your ticket purchase. However, if WE are unable to provide the services on the day due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, our responsibility to you is outlined in the Terms & Conditions of Booking & Entry.
Can I use cash on Go Media NZ Trotting Cup Day?
There are NO food and beverage or racebook purchases using cash. Cash can only be used to place a bet with a Bet & Collect operator.
Can I see the horses in the IRT Stables?
Sorry, no you may not. Unless you are a HRNZ official licence holder, or a registered owner of a horse engaged to race on the day, you will not be able to gain access to the IRT Stables.
I am an owner of a horse racing on Cup Day, where can I go?
There is designated owners area inside the Christian Cullen Lounge with access to the seating bowl to watch your horse race, or you can visit the Owner’s Marquee located on the ground floor in the Continental Pavilion with access to the Trackside Lawn.
What time is the first race?
11:50am (subject to change)
What time is the last race?
6:22pm (subject to change)
What time is the Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup race?
5:48pm (subject to change)
Where can I get a racebook? Do they cost?
Racebooks can be purchased from the Info Booth for $10, or can be accessed for free via QR codes located around the footprint on the day.
Please note: racebooks are complimentary for those in hospitality packages, for Members and Owners.
Can I bring my own food?
Outside food and beverages of any type are NOT permitted on Cup Day and this will be enforced at all gates. We provide a wide variety of food vendors on the day in Public Village and Hospitality areas that cater to most food allergens.

Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. The course is a fully licensed premises, and NO BYO ALCOHOL is permitted. This will be enforced with security checks at all gates.
Temporary Alcohol Ban
There is a temporary alcohol ban in place around the streets of Addington Raceway on Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day, Tuesday 10 November, from 9am to 10pm.
Will there be any pass outs this year?
Pass outs will not be permitted on Go Media NZ Trotting Cup Day. Gates close at 4:30pm and there will be no admissions after this time. Once you are through the gates there will be no pass-outs to leave and return.
Can I smoke or vape on course?
Smoking and vaping is prohibited in ALL indoor venues and hospitality marquees. There are designated smoking locations on course, which are signposted.
I have purchased a Public Village ticket but, on the day, I find out all my friends have tickets to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield. Can I upgrade?
Yes you can upgrade, you will need to purchase The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield Add-On. This can be done at any time of the day. Look out for QR codes on the footprint to purchase your upgrade, or visit the Info Booth at the entrance to The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield.
As tickets are strictly limited this year, to be guaranteed access please purchase your The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield ticket in advance.
I lost my ticket; can I get a new one?
Yes. If you have lost a Public Village, The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield or Punters Lounge ticket we can replace it upon proof of purchase. Replacement will invalidate your original ticket. Please contact Flicket on support@flicket.co.nz.
Are you prepared for earthquakes and / or emergencies?
Yes, we are. We have a dedicated Emergency Management Response Team who meet prior to every race meeting including Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day.
There is a floor warden in every area. In the case of an emergency the floor warden will be identified to you. Please listen and calmly follow their instructions.
Can I become a member of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club (NZMTC)? What are the benefits of being a NZMTC Member?

Can I use the TAB/betcha App to place a bet?
Yes. Download either the TAB or betcha app before Cup Day and no waiting in queues!
Entrances
What time do the gates open, and what is the best entrance to use?
Gates open at 11am.
Access for Public Village and The Kirin Hyoketsu Infield is via the main entrance at Wolfbrook Arena where your ticket will be scanned and wristbands given.
Access for Punters' Lounge is via the main entrance at Wolfbrook Arena where your ticket will be scanned. Make your way to the venue where your ticket will be scanned for a second time and your wristband will be given to you.
I have a Hospitality Ticket. What entrance do I use?
Please use the main entrance at Wolfbrook Arena. Your passes will be scanned at either entrance, then scanned a second time at the entry of your particular hospitality area and a wristband will be given to you.
I am a New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club Member. Where do I park, and what entrance do I use?
The Members Car Park opens at 10.00am with limited parking. Access is via Wrights Road entrance. Your members car pass must be displayed. The pedestrian members gate will open at 10.30am allowing early access to Go Media NZ Trotting Cup Day.
Getting to and from Addington / Parking
Can I bring my car? Is there parking on site?
Yes. There are two public car parks and parking staff will be on-site to direct you.
There is no charge for car parking, however with Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Day being a major event, on-site parking is limited.
Can I bring my flat deck truck, bus or campervan and park in the centre of the track?
No, these vehicles will not be permitted in the centre of the track car park.
Can I leave my car overnight?
Any vehicles left overnight are left at the owner’s risk and Addington Raceway takes no responsibility in the event of any loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle. Cars need to be collected on Wednesday (11 November) by 10.00am or you run the risk of being towed.
Taxis / Buses / Ride Share
We strongly encourage you to taxi, ride share or bus to Addington and leave your car at home.

If travelling by taxi or private bus, please make sure you advise your driver to take you to the entrance at Wolfbrook Arena where you will be directed to the drop off zone. The entrance can be accessed via Twiggers Street and Jack Hinton Drive off Whiteleigh Ave.
We are aware that a number of guests make use of electric scooters to arrive at Addington Raceway. Please be aware that these will be collected by the various scooter companies throughout the day. They will not be available once you leave the racecourse.
Hospitality
I’m in a Hospitality Area, what time does the Hospitality start?
Hospitality areas open from 11:00am. Food and beverage services commences at 11:00am and concludes at the commencement of the last race.
Is there a dress code in the Hospitality areas?
In the hospitality areas we require a high standard of dress. Track pants, sneakers, t-shirts, jandals, shorts or sportswear are NOT permitted in these areas.
Why have I been given a wristband for my Hospitality area?
To access your hospitality area you will need the correct wristband for your area; these must always be worn and be visible at all time.
I have lost my Hospitality ticket.
All tickets are sent via email from Flicket including hospitality tickets. Please email Vanessa Leeming on vanessa.leeming@addington.co.nz and she will be able to assist you with any queries.
